ISLAMABAD, Feb 12 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 15 accused during separate operations carried out across the federal capital, recovering drugs and illegal weapons from their possession.
A police spokesperson told APP on Thursday that police teams from Sabzi Mandi, Industrial Area, Khanna, Nilore, Phulgran, and Shahzad Town police stations arrested nine accused involved in different criminal activities.
He said the police recovered 580 grams of hashish, 430 grams of ice, and six pistols with ammunition from the arrested individuals. Cases have been registered, and further investigations are underway.
Additionally, during a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, various police teams arrested six criminals, he added.
Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police continues its effective crackdown against crime and criminal elements to ensure peace and tranquility in the federal capital.
The spokesperson said Islamabad Police remains committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and will continue indiscriminate action against lawbreakers.
