PESHAWAR, Mar 24 (APP): Security forces and local police have arrested two foreign nationals suspected of having links with the militant group ISIS-Khorasan during a significant operation in the tribal district of Orakzai
According to police on Tuesday, the suspects were taken into custody from Ghaljo Bazaar area after authorities observed suspicious movement.
Initial reports suggest that both had entered Ghaljo on foot from the Alisherzai area of Central Kurram.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ghor, son of Kazim, and Muhammad Younis, son of Muhammad. Both are reportedly citizens of Azerbaijan.
They were immediately shifted to a nearby police station, where further interrogation is ongoing.
The preliminary questioning has revealed their possible connections with ISIS-Khorasan. However, officials emphasize that final confirmation is still pending and investigations are being conducted from all angles.
Meanwhile, security agencies have intensified surveillance across the area and have accelerated efforts to identify and apprehend any potential facilitators linked to the suspects.
