Shorkot police arrest five gamblers

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Mar 27 (APP): Shorkot police have raided a gambling gathering and arrested five people while recovering the stake money.

According to police spokesman, the operation was conducted on the directives of the DPO under the supervision of SP City Murtaza Khan Bangash.

The Station House Officer (SHO) Shorkot, along with his team, raided the location where the suspects were allegedly engaged in gambling.

During the raid, police also recovered an amount of Rs 85,000 that had been staked.

The police say the arrested individuals were belonging to different localities.

A case has been registered against the suspects and further legal proceedings are underway.

Authorities added that such operations will continue as part of efforts to curb crime in the area.
