PPP hails Pakistan role in de- escalation efforts

PESHAWAR, Mar 30 (APP):Muhammad Humayun Khan, Central Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Monday appreciated Pakistan’s positive and responsible role in promoting peace and stability in the region amid recent tensions between Iran and United States.

Pakistan has consistently played a key role in fostering regional peace, stability and diplomatic balance, he said in a statement issued here.

He noted that rising tensions between Iran and the United States could have posed serious risks not only to the
region but also to global peace.

He said Pakistan’s political, government and military leadership demonstrated wisdom and effective diplomacy, contributing to de-escalation efforts and encouraging dialogue between the two sides.

Muhammad Humayun Khan added that the PPP has always believed in the principles of peace, dialogue and mutual respect, which also form the foundation of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

He further said that Pakistan, as a responsible state, played its part in reducing misunderstandings and facilitating peaceful resolution of issues through dialogue.

Highlighting Pakistan’s strategic and diplomatic importance, he said the country has once again demonstrated its role as a bridge in the region and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting regional and global peace.

He said the PPP would continue its efforts to support peace, stability and international cooperation to help address regional challenges through peaceful means.
