PESHAWAR, Mar 27 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, was given a detailed departmental briefing by the Press Information Department (PID) Peshawar at the Governor House here Friday.
The briefing was attended by DG PID Peshawar Tahira Syeda and Deputy Director Romana Asad Khan.
During the briefing, the Governor was informed about departmental responsibilities and duties related to challenges in digital media, strategic communication, media relations, public narrative, outreach and stakeholder engagement, digital and social media management, crisis communication, and internal coordination.
The briefing also highlighted the promotion of government initiatives, strengthening of the state narrative, and effective narrative building through news as well as research articles.
On this occasion, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that PID carries an important responsibility in promoting the state narrative, therefore it is essential to align it with modern requirements.
He further said that PID offices in Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan should be equipped with modern facilities, and the establishment of an effective media cell there should also be considered.
