The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control (ET&NC) Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), on Monday seized a large quantity of hashish and crystal meth (ice) during an operation at the Ajab Bagh checkpost on the Nowshera,Peshawar GT Road.

PESHAWAR, Mar 30 (APP):The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control (ET&NC) Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), on Monday seized a large quantity of hashish and crystal meth (ice) during an operation at the Ajab Bagh checkpost on the Nowshera,Peshawar GT Road.
According to official sources, the operation was carried out under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer (Anti-Narcotics) Majid Khan on the basis of intelligence reports.
A suspected vehicle bearing registration number AEU-202 was intercepted and searched, resulting in the recovery of 12 kilograms of hashish and 4 kilograms of ice.
The operation team included Inspector Ajmal Khan Lodhi, Lal Gul Khan, in-charge of Ajab Bagh checkpost, along with other personnel.
The recovered narcotics were taken into custody, and a case has been registered against the accused at the Excise Police Station, Mardan Region. Further investigation is underway.
The operation was conducted in line with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and on the directives of Excise Minister Syed Fakhar Jehan, who has reiterated the government’s commitment to eliminating drug trafficking and ensuring strict action against those involved.
