Ikhtair Wali spends Eid at his hometown among people, party workers

NOWSHERA, Mar 24 (APP):The Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information and Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ikhtiar Wali Khan, remained present throughout all three days of Eid ul Fitr along with his team, extending greetings and continuing public service.
On the first day of Eid, after offering prayers, he mingled with the public and conveyed Eid greetings, said a press release.
At Hujra Nokhar House, a large number of visitors from across the province and various regions continued to arrive during all three days of Eid. These included party workers, leaders, political elders, media representatives, and individuals from different walks of life.
Eid celebrations and goodwill were shared with them. Delegations from different areas also presented their concerns alongside Eid greetings. Complaints regarding damaged transformers due to increased electricity usage during Eid were also received.
Ikhtiar Wali Khan ensured continuity of public service during Eid and directed WAPDA officials to resolve issues on an urgent basis.
Despite holidays, WAPDA staff performed special duties, replaced faulty transformers, and provided immediate relief to the public.
While speaking to media representatives, he stated that the Iran conflict has escalated into a global situation, affecting the entire world. People in various countries are struggling over access to oil.
He further said that due to the leadership and coordinated policies of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and COAS/CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan is playing a mediatory role in the current global situation.
The Iran conflict has disrupted global oil supply and demand. In such uncertain circumstances, certain political elements are misleading the public by claiming that the Government of Pakistan has increased fuel prices on existing stock, which is contrary to facts.
The government has adopted austerity measures, including reducing 50% of official vehicles, implementing a work-from-home policy, limiting official visits, and cutting expenditures. These steps aim to protect the public from the economic impact of the global crisis.
Despite rising global oil prices, the government has avoided placing an immediate burden on the public, as sudden increases could severely affect them. Therefore, efforts are being made to provide subsidies and maintain supply stability.
In his Eid message, Ikhtiar Wali Khan urged all political parties and the nation to demonstrate unity and play their role in ensuring peace in the country.
He stated, “If Pakistan exists, we all exist.” Referring to March 23, 1940, he said that the Muslim League presented the Pakistan Resolution, leading to the creation of a separate homeland for Muslims. Pakistan was achieved under the leadership of Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and through the immense sacrifices of our forefathers.
He added that the coincidence of Eid and Pakistan Day is a great blessing. While avoiding political discussion, he criticized certain elements for misleading the public and misusing provincial resources instead of focusing on development. He also alleged irregularities in the KP Ramazan relief package.
He concluded by extending heartfelt greetings to the nation on Eid and Pakistan Day and urged adherence to the guiding principles of Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
