MUZAFFARABAD, Mar 31 (APP): The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (UAJK) has expressed serious concern and issued a clarification regarding the advertisement published by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) in national newspapers on March 26, 2026, in which the University has been listed among institutions allegedly offering unrecognised postgraduate medical programmes.
The University categorically states that UAJK does not offer any postgraduate medical or dental programmes for MBBS/BDS or related disciplines at any of its campuses or affiliated institutions. The inclusion of the University’s name in the said advertisement is therefore factually incorrect and not based on verified information.
UAJK has formally taken up the matter with the concerned authorities and has called for immediate correction and clarification to prevent the spread of misinformation and to avoid confusion among students, parents, and the general public.
The University has also sought a clear explanation regarding the basis on which its name was included in the advertisement.
The University considers such inaccuracies a matter of concern, as they have the potential to adversely affect the reputation of a public sector institution and mislead prospective students.
UAJK has emphasised the need for due diligence and verification in public communications, particularly on sensitive academic matters.
While addressing the issue through appropriate channels, the University reserves the right to seek clarification and pursue appropriate administrative remedies, if required.
The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir remains committed to academic integrity, transparency, and strict adherence to all regulatory requirements. Students, parents, and stakeholders are advised to rely only on official University communication platforms for accurate and authentic information.
