UN General Assembly pays tribute to Ban's "never-tiring service to humanity"

UNITED NATIONS, Oct 25 (APP): UN Secretary Secretary Ban Ki moon Tuesday condemned the terrorist attack on a police academy in Quetta and called for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.

“The Secretary General extends his heartfelt condolences to the families
of the victims and to the government and people of Pakistan and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured,” a statement released by his Deputy Spokesman Farhan Haq said.

“He (the UN chief) calls for the perpetrators of this abhorrent act of
violence to be brought to justice swiftly,” the statement added.
At least 60 people were killed and more than 100 injured in the bomb and gun attack.
