Presidents of Uzbekistan, Russia hold a telephone conversation

TASHKENT, Nov 12 (UzA/APP) : President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation.
The pressing issues related to the development and strengthening of a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia in the context of the practical implementation of high-level agreements were discussed.
Special attention was paid to maintaining the positive dynamics of trade turnover, promoting cooperation in priority sectors of the economy, including joint energy projects, expanding business ties between regions, and fostering cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
It was noted with satisfaction that the second meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia, held on October 22 this year in Moscow region, produced fruitful results.
The importance of successfully organizing the upcoming meeting of the Uzbekistan – Russia Intergovernmental Commission and the joint business forum, scheduled for December 3, was emphasized. The parties also exchanged views on current issues of the international and regional agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
