MOSCOW, Oct 14 (BelTA/APP): From 14 to 19 October, units taking part in a joint exercise with the CSTO peacekeeping forces Indestructible Brotherhood 2025 and a special exercise with the joint radiation, chemical, and biological protection and medical support unit Barrier 2025 are redeploying to the Republic of Tajikistan, BelTA learned from the joint press center of the CSTO exercises.
“CSTO troop contingents (collective forces) are being sent from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Russian Federation to the exercise area in accordance with the plan. The personnel and equipment are being transported by air and road,” the press center reported.
The Indestructible Brotherhood 2025 joint exercise will take place at the Fakhrabad training ground. During the exercise, the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces will practice preparing and conducting peacekeeping operations on the territory of one of its member states. For the first time within the framework of the peacekeeping exercise, a special exercise Barrier 2025 will be conducted with the CSTO joint formation for radiation, chemical and biological protection and medical support. During this exercise, measures to eliminate biological threats will be practiced in the interests of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces.
Active phases of these exercises will be combined with the final stage of the CIS counterterrorism exercise Commonwealth Antiterror 2025.
