Bulgariada Festival in Serbia Marks 25th Anniversary

Belgrade, Serbia, March 10   (BTA/APP) : The Bulgariada festival, held in Serbia, has marked its 25th anniversary, the Bulgarian Embassy in Belgrade said. The 25th edition of the festival took place over the weekend in the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad. Over the years, it has established itself as a true celebration of the Bulgarian spirit, the Bulgarian diplomats said.
Bulgaria’s Ambassador to Serbia, Angel Angelov, greeted the participants and the audience, wishing everyone to preserve and carry the spirit of Bulgaria wherever they are in the world.
Ambassador Angelov also congratulated those present on the occasion of Baba Marta, one of the most beloved traditional Bulgarian holidays.
The organizer of the 25th edition of the Bulgariada festival is the Society for Bulgarian Language, Literature and Culture Novi Sad, headed by Zharko Evtimov from Bosilegrad.
The festival is held with the support of the Bulgarian state through funding under the Programme for Support of Organizations of Bulgarian Communities from Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Ukraine and Moldova, as well as of citizens of North Macedonia with Bulgarian identity.
