Belarusian MTZ explores tractor assembly project in Tanzania

MINSK, Jan 22 (BelTA/APP): A Tanzanian business delegation led by Mohamed Said Kiluwa of the Kiluwa Group visited the Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark). During the meeting, the parties discussed the establishment of tractor assembly facility in the African country among other topics, BelTA learned from the MTZ press service.

The guests toured the BELARUS machinery exhibition, the tractor assembly workshop, and the MTZ museum.

In furtherance of the previously reached agreements and the memorandum of cooperation, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing assembly manufacture in Tanzania.

Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) is one of Belarusian largest producers of agricultural machinery. It was founded on 29 May 1946. The plant designs and manufactures wheeled and caterpillar tractors, walk-behind tractors, towed and mounted implements for agricultural, construction, forestry, and municipal operations, spare parts, consumer goods, and much more.
