MUZAFFARABAD, Nov 07 (APP)::Expressing disappointment over the role of United Nations Security Council, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said that international forum has failed to stop genocide of Kashmiris in hands of Indian security forces and raising voice against human rights violations in the held valley.
Speaking to a parliamentary delegation of South Asian Eastern Countries comprising representatives of Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore and Myanmar he said the Security Council has no concern over the prevailing circumstances of Kashmir as its President is unwilling to discuss the issue in the coming meeting.
The President expressed disappointment over the exclusion of Kashmir issue from the agenda of this month’s meeting of Security Council and said the impression was getting strong that international forum was waiting the complete elimination of Muslim population from the valley.
The delegation headed by head of Malaysian consultative council for Islamic organization Haji Azeemi Abdul Hameed expressed concern over human rights abuses in India held Kashmir and said that this delegation was the second from these countries visiting Pakistan to assess the situation of Indian occupied Kashmir.
Abdul Hameed said they were feeling the pain of struggling people of Indian occupied Kashmir for their just cause and the purpose of their visit to Azad Kashmir was to express solidarity with Kashmiris.
