GILGIT, Apr 02 (APP):As many as 18 police officers and personnel have been dismissed from service following a departmental inquiry into the arson and unrest incidents that occurred in Skardu in March 2026.
According to official orders issued by the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Baltistan Region, those dismissed include one Inspector, two Sub-Inspectors, as well as head constables and constables.
The affected officers and personnel have been granted the right to file an appeal with the Inspector General of Police Gilgit-Baltistan within the stipulated period.
Spokesperson for Gilgit-Baltistan Police stated that the enforcement of rule of law and the system of accountability and disciplinary action within the department is being ensured at all costs.
