MULTAN, May 31 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Eradication Uzma Kardar said the government had zero-tolerance policy against polio, emphasizing that repeated anti-polio campaigns were yielding positive results.
During her recent visit to the city, she conducted on-ground inspections of polio teams
in the field.
She was accompanied by the Chief Minister’s Monitoring Team representative, Umar Farooq Bhatti, and officials from the Health department.
Uzma Kardar visited several areas of the city, personally reviewed the administration of polio vaccine to children.
She commended the recent campaign in Multan which successfully vaccinated over one million children which is commendable.
She directed the district administration and health department to take further steps to prevent polio.
She hailed the deputy commissioner and his team for successful polio drive as they covered all children within given timeframe and missing kids were traced quickly.
