YouTuber Ducky Bhai approaches LHC for bail

LAHORE, Oct 30 (APP): YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) for post-arrest bail in a case pertaining to the promotion of gambling applications.
In the petition, the defence argued that no specific allegation mentioned in the FIR applies to the petitioner. It was further stated that the maximum punishment under the relevant sections is three years, which does not fall under the prohibited category of offences.
The plea also highlighted that Ducky Bhai’s wife had earlier filed a complaint against FIA officials, all of whom have since been arrested and placed on physical remand. Additionally, the petition pointed out that the co-accused in the same case have already been granted bail.
The petition urged the court to grant post-arrest bail to Saad-ur-Rehman, asserting that the charges against him are baseless and not supported by evidence.
It is pertinent to mention here that a sessions court had dismissed ducky Bhai’s post-arrest bail plea in the case on October 2.
The National Cyber Investigation Agency had on August 17 registered a case against Ducky Bhai which includes multiple sections of the Electronic Crimes Act such as electronic forgery, fraud, spamming, and spoofing, along with charges under Sections 294-B and 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
