World cotton day seminar in Vehari

VEHARI, Oct 08 (APP):A seminar was held at Reddick Hall in Vehari to commemorate World Cotton Day, organized in collaboration with Reddick Vehari and Reds Pakistan under the Cotton Restoration Program of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
The event featured stalls showcasing cotton products, highlighting the crop’s importance, utility, and economic value. Chief Coordinator Reddick Vehari Qamar Mahmood emphasized the Punjab government’s vision to make Vehari district the “Cotton King” once again.
He highlighted the significance of celebrating World Cotton Day, which aims to introduce the importance of cotton, its production, trade, and stakeholders associated with it at the global level.
He stressed the need for collaboration and cooperation with the private sector and investors to develop cotton and related industries.
A large number of male and female farmers participated in the seminar, gaining information on modern cultivation, research, and marketing. The event served as a platform for farmers to learn about best practices, network with experts, and explore new opportunities in the cotton industry.
