LAHORE, Oct 01 (APP):The Department of Surgery of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged a two day workshop on “Spaying & Neutering in Cats” at City Campus Lahore.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) presided over the concluding ceremony of workshop and distributed certificate among participants while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Durani, Chairperson Department of Surgery Prof Dr Ayesha Hassan and faculty members and few participants were present.
During this workshop renowned surgery expert imparted practical knowledge, hands on training regarding pre operation and post operation care to students. Meanwhile, UVAS Debating Society, under the umbrella of Senior Tutor Office and Principal Office, arranged a ceremony to appreciate the efforts of students who participated in various national debating competitions and won awards and shields.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) chaired the ceremony. Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Durani, Prof Dr Yasin Tipu, Dr Sarwar Siddique, Dr Maryam Javed, Dr Sadia Nawaz and Dr Fasiha Qureshi were also present.
Among salient achievements, students brought home Best Delegation award and Best Diplomat award from the University of Wah, King Edward Medical University, UET, Kinnaird College for Women University, CMH, FAST, UMT, University of Central Punjab, Riphah International University, Lahore Medical and Dental College etc.
The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the students. He also highlighted the significance of debates in polishing the communication skills in students, which would be helpful for them in their professional careers.
