Women University to plant 10,000 saplings on Independence Day

MULTAN, Aug 13 (APP):The management of Women University has announced the planting of more than 10,000 saplings within the university’s territory on Independence Day.
A special ceremony will be arranged on both campuses of the university, stated the Vice Chancellor (VC), Professor Dr. Kalsoom Raja.
The VC in a statement said that the country was achieved through immense sacrifices, adding that unfortunately it was marred by economic difficulties soon after its birth. While the country is beset by economic problems, the worsening environmental system has led to sudden disaster, she said.
Thus, the plantation is vital to improve the overall environment of the country to better survive the masses, she added.
She expressed resolve to celebrate Independence Day as the plantation day.
Registrar Doctor Maimona Khan said on the occasion the university would observe the day with a different mindset, unlike the past. She said they had made an objective to portray Green Pakistan and Green Campus to mark the day of independence.
