WASA steps up anti-smog measures across city

MULTAN, Oct 23 (APP): In line with the directives of the Government of Punjab, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has intensified its efforts to combat smog through comprehensive preventive actions.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Managing Director WASA, Khalid Raza Khan, attended by the Deputy Director Engineering and other relevant officers.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of ongoing anti-smog operations and compliance with safety protocols at development project sites across the city. The Managing Director directed that strict measures be taken to prevent the spread of dust, soil and construction debris at all locations.
He instructed that regular water sprinkling be carried out to help reduce air pollution. He also emphasized that WASA teams and machinery should be mobilized immediately whenever the Air Quality Index exceeds the permissible limit.
Khalid Raza Khan reaffirmed that providing a clean, healthy, and pollution-free environment along with quality civic services remains WASA’s top priority. He urged all officers and staff to use every available resource to ensure citizens enjoy a healthier and cleaner atmosphere.
