FAISALABAD, Jul 11 (APP):Managing Director Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Sohail Qadir Cheema has ordered for completing the underground storage tank adjacent to the city’s main ponding point TATA mills road at the earliest.
He also directed to increase the number of machinery and staff for the immediate drainage of water from the area.
He was chairing a meeting here on Friday. Deputy Managing Director Services Ikramullah Chaudhry, Deputy Director Development Syed Naveed Shah and other officers were also present on the occasion.
The MD directed the construction wing to complete the new underground storage tank as soon as possible so that the drainage of rainwater from this main ponding point can be made possible in a shortest time.
He clarified that during the rainy season, the quality of drainage services to the citizens has to be further improved for which WASA operations staff is performing its duty with full effort and dedication, while the pumps of the disposal station are fully functional with full capacity.
