FAISALABAD, Dec 19 (APP):Managing Director (MD) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Saqib Raza has constituted a dedicated Quick Response Force (QRF) to immediately cover missing manholes and slabs across the city to protect precious human lives and prevent accidents.
WASA spokesman said here on Friday that according to a notification issued on the directions of MD WASA, the newly established QRF will remain operational round-the-clock and fully prepared to respond to the reports of uncovered manholes or slabs at any location.
The force will function under the supervision of Assistant Director CRC while its members will stay on high alert at WASA Head Office to ensure prompt deployment particularly during nighttime upon receiving information or identification of hazardous sites, he added.
MD WASA Saqib Raza said that in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, WASA Faisalabad has been placed on high alert to address the issue of missing manholes and slabs on an emergency basis.
He said that no compromise could be made on the protection of human lives, terming it the top priority of the authority.
He clarified that WASA remains actively engaged in 24-hour service delivery. It is utilizing all available resources to ensure public safety, he said, adding that immediate action is being taken wherever a missing manhole or slab is reported on any road or street in the city.
