WASA approves budget for four underground water tanks

The third board meeting of WASA Lahore was held at its head office,where key reform measures and development initiatives were approved.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner(DC) Lahore Captain (R)Ali Ijaz,Additional Secretary Housing Madiha Shah and Managing Director WASA Ghaffran Ahmed along with other board members.
During the session,the board approved the budget for four underground water tanks aimed at improving water storage and supply.
Work on these projects was already progressing rapidly at key locations,including Nisbat Road,Lakshmi Chowk,University of Engineering and Technology,Lake road and Barkat Market.
The board also approved new water supply and sewerage regulations under the Water and Sanitation Act,a move expected to significantly enhance WASA Lahore’s service delivery.
Speaking on the occasion,MD WASA Ghaffran Ahmed stated that the agency was striving to provide top-quality services to citizens through modern facilities,transparent financial systems and sustainable planning, in line with the vision of Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
