PESHAWAR, Nov 17 (APP):The measles and rubella vaccination campaign began in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday. Special Assistant for Information Shafi Jan inaugurated the campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, he said a target has been set to vaccinate 6 million children against measles and rubella during the 12-day campaign.
He said health and education are the top priorities of the provincial government.
“We are going to impose an emergency in the health and education sectors,” said Shafi Jan.
Special attention is being made to health and education to improve the lives of the public.
He said teachers, parents and religious scholars have a key role in the success of the vaccination campaign.
“We were elected by the people’s vote and fully understand the problems of ordinary citizens,” said Shafi Jan.
