UMPK Conducts Pre-Entry Test for Bachelor’s Programmes, VC Dr. Rafique Memon Inspects Arrangements

HYDERABAD, Nov 09 (APP): The University of Mirpurkhas (UMPK) successfully conducted its pre-entry test for Bachelor’s degree programmes for the Academic Year 2026 on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
According to the University’s authorities, the entry test witnessed participation from across Sindh. A total of 749 candidates including 257 female and 492 male students appeared in the test. These aspirants competed for approximately 1016 seats out of a pool of 800 total applicants.The test commenced at 11:00 am and concluded after 90 minutes.
UMPK Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Rafique Ahmed Memon personally reviewed and supervised the comprehensive arrangements across the test centers. Following his inspection, the Vice-Chancellor expressed deep satisfaction with the meticulous planning and coordination executed by the various university committees.
A press briefing was held on the occasion, where Professor Dr. Rafique Ahmed Memon briefed the media about the facilities and procedures adopted for the event, emphasizing the university’s commitment to transparency.
The Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed the university’s commitment to merit, transparency and fairness in the admissions process. He said, “The pre-entry test is an indispensable tool for upholding pure merit in admissions. “We have put comprehensive, systematic measures in place to ensure the entire process is conducted in a comfortable, secure and transparent atmosphere for every test-taker”
Prof. Memon also highlighted the digitization of the entire process: “From initial online registration to final result processing, our system is fully automated. This digitization is key to ensuring transparency and leaves no space for irregularities, ” he added and confirmed that the test results would be announced shortly on the university’s official website.
A high-level team led by the Vice-Chancellor and comprising key university officers including Registrar Dr. Pir Suhail Ahmed Sarhandi, Director Admission Nadeem Ahmed Solangi and other committee heads inspected the centers. Separate blocks were designated for female candidates
Candidates were provided with full facilities including walk-through gates were installed at entry points, CCTV cameras were installed in examination blocks while medical camps, vehicle support and fire brigade services were stationed to handle any emergencies.
