DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 13 (APP):The Dera police carried out successful operations against drug peddlers in different areas, arresting two suspects and recovering a quantity of narcotics here in the limits of the Cantt police station.
According to police spokesman, a total of 1,095 grams of heroin and 915 grams of Ice drug were seized during the actions taken Two Drug Dealers Arrested with Over 2kg Narcotics on Link road River bank and Link road Muryali.
The operations were conducted under the supervision of SP City Ali Hamza Butt and led by DSP City Hafiz Muhammad Adnan.
During the operations, the police arrested Abid Banochi, a resident of Dial Road, and recovered 520 grams of heroin and 480 grams of Ice from his possession. In a separate action, Waseem Kanera, son of Muhammad Bashir and a resident of Zameerabad, was apprehended with 575 grams of heroin and 435 grams of ice.
Both suspects have been taken into custody, and separate cases have been registered against them. The police officials reiterated their commitment to continue indiscriminate action against drug traffickers to curb the menace of narcotics in the district.
