MANSEHRA, Jun 12 (APP):In a swift response to aerial firing during a wedding ceremony, police in the jurisdiction of Baffa Police Station on Thursday arrested two individuals and recovered illegal weapons and explosive material.
The action was taken on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Mansehra, Shafiullah Gandapur, as part of an ongoing crackdown on crime under the supervision of SP City Resham Jahangir.
According to police sources, the Baffa Police acted promptly on a tip-off and raided the location where aerial firing was taking place. Two suspects — Muhammad Waqas, son of Muhammad Sabir, and Khalid Khan, son of Tahseen Khan, both residents of Supply Mor, Baffa — were arrested on the spot.
During the operation, law enforcement officials recovered one 30-bore pistol, one 9mm pistol, 34 explosive shells, and 20 live rounds. The suspects were taken into custody and formally booked. Further investigation is underway.
