DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 07 (APP):A traders’ delegation-led by the central traders association’s President Sohail Azmi called on Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar here on Tuesday.
According to the spokesman, the delegation discussed various issues faced by the business community, particularly the growing traffic problems in the city’s main markets.
The delegation informed the RPO about the mismanagement of traffic, encroachments in the markets, and security concerns of the business community. RPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar listened attentively to their concerns and assured them of swift resolution.
He said, “traders are our valuable asset, and ensuring their security is our top priority,” he added.
He said the police would take all possible measures to provide a safe and peaceful environment for the business community.
The RPO further mentioned that a comprehensive traffic plan would be developed to ensure smooth traffic flow in Dera’s main markets.
The plan will include designated routes for Qingqi rickshaws, a one-way traffic system, and other reforms. Instructions have already been issued to the SP Traffic to formulate a practical plan in consultation with representatives of the traders.
The delegation expressed gratitude to the RPO and appreciated the police’s interest in resolving their problems.
