MULTAN, Oct 20 (APP): The Central Organization of Traders Pakistan has urged the federal government and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), to extend the deadline for filing income tax returns.
Chairman Khawaja Suleman, accompanied by South Punjab President Sheikh Javed Akhtar, Multan President Khalid Mahmood Qureshi, and other trader leaders, said that the ongoing rains and flood situation had severely disrupted business activities and daily life across several districts of South Punjab.
He added that prolonged power outages had affected the e-filing system, preventing many traders from completing their tax returns, which had become a source of unnecessary stress.
Khawaja Suleman appealed to the government and FBR Chairman to announce at least a 90-day extension in the filing deadline to provide relief to flood-affected traders and help them restore their business operations.
