SWAT, Nov 21 (APP): The district Police here on Friday conducted an operation in the Shahdara Watkai area, leading to the arrest of three transgender individuals accused of firing at police personnel and local protesters.
According to sources, the operation was carried out after local elders identified locations in Shahdara Watkai and nearby areas.
Police raided several spots, during which many transgender persons reportedly fled along with their companions.
Local elders also called for action against property owners who rent out spaces to the groups operating in the area.
Police have registered a case against the arrested individuals on charges of opening fire during the operation.
Those arrested include Asif alias Bulbul, Imran alias Pilot, and Arman.
