MULTAN, Jul 23 (APP):Police have busted three notorious criminal gangs and arrested ten members of these gangs besides recovering looted valuables with over Rs 5.2 million from their possession during a special crackdown.
Holding a press conference on Wednesday, the City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar, said that taking action on the rising incidents of criminal activities, the Shah Rukan-e-Alam and Dehli Gate police was directed to launch a comprehensive crackdown against criminals.
He said that the police have busted three notorious criminal gangs and arrested ten criminals of these gangs including the ring leaders.
The police have also recovered looted valuables worth over Rs 5.2 million including 14 mobile phones, 13 motorcycles, jewellery and cash from their possession by tracing 62 cases.
Further investigations were underway from the arrested criminals and more recoveries were expected from them, he added.
He also lauded the police team and directed them to continue crackdown with the same spirit and dedication. He said that zero tolerance police was being followed against criminals under the vision to make district crime free.
