LAHORE, Jan 24 (APP): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Saturday visited the residence of late former Punjab Chief Minister Mian Manzoor Wattoo to offer condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul.
During the visit, the minister conveyed his grief to the widow of Mian Manzoor Wattoo and other family members, including DG PEMRA Punjab Ayesha Manzoor Wattoo, former MNA Rubina Wattoo, Jahan Ara Wattoo, Moazzam Wattoo, Bilal Ahmed Virk, and Khurram Wattoo.
He offered Fateha and prayed for the eternal peace of Mian Manzoor Wattoo, adding that Mian Manzoor Wattoo was a dedicated politician who worked for the welfare of the people.
Attaullah Tarar said that late Mian Manzoor Wattoo enjoyed a relationship of respect and honor with his grandfather, former President Rafiq Tarar. The services rendered by Mian Manzoor Wattoo during his tenure as Punjab Chief Minister were commendable.
Highlighting Wattoo’s legacy, he said the late leader promoted politics rooted in respect and decency and consistently acted within the framework of tolerance and democratic principles. He added that Wattoo’s political, social and public services would remain unforgettable.
The Federal Minister prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the departed soul and for patience for the bereaved family.
