SSP Operations reviews security arrangements for Yaum-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (AS) processions

RAWALPINDI, Mar 08 (APP): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Malik Tariq Mehboob conducted a visit to review security arrangements for the Yaum-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (AS).
During the visit, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) City, and Station House Officers (SHOs) were also present.
A police spokesperson said SSP Operations examined the procession route in detail and directed field officers to ensure foolproof security.
All streets adjoining the route will be fully sealed, and participants will be allowed entry only after body searches and screening through walk-through gates.
The spokesperson added that senior officers would brief deployed personnel to maintain vigilance throughout the procession.
SSP Operations Malik Tariq Mehboob emphasised that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remained the top priority and that all necessary measures were being implemented to ensure comprehensive security.
