LAHORE, Nov 07 (APP):The Punjab Agriculture Department has announced a special incentive package to further enhance effectiveness of the Kisan Card recovery process as per the direction of Punjab CM.
A prize distribution ceremony was held at Agriculture House here on Friday for the fortunate farmers who emerged successful in the Kisan Card recovery lucky draw.
Punjab Minister for Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani distributed Umrah tickets among 10 farmers, tractors among 14 lucky farmers, motorbikes to 21 farmers, gold coins to 90 farmers and mobile phones to 60 farmers.
Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani announced that approval had been granted for 4th round of the prize draw as per the instruction of Punjab CM.
He stated that farmers who clear their outstanding Kisan Card dues by November 12, would be eligible to participate in the fourth draw, which was scheduled to take place on November 13.
He mentioned that over 75% of the Kisan Card recovery had already been completed and eligible farmers were being issued the next installment after 24 hours of bill payment.
He also noted that interest-free loans were being provided to one million farmers for the Rabi season to ensure timely crop preparation.
Punjab Agriculture Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo stated that the use of the Kisan Card had enabled timely procurement of wheat seed and fertilizers, providing both financial and technical support to farmers.
Card was promoting balanced fertilizer usage, with 30% of the allocated amount available as cash withdrawal and 20% earmarked for diesel purchases.
