Spanish delegation visit ancient world heritage site of Mohenjo-daro

LARKANA, Apr 04 (APP):A 10-member delegation from Spain on Saturday visited Mohenjo-daro, an ancient site in Sindh located near Dokri. The foreign delegation also explored the stupa, great bath, DK area, and the museum. Irshad Solangi, a guide posted at Mohenjo Daro by Sindh Tourism, provided the delegation with a detailed briefing about the archaeological remains.

On this occasion, the Spanish delegation remarked that they have seen with their own eyes how the ancient people here built their solid houses in an excellent manner and developed a highly efficient drainage system, which was constructed 5,000 years ahead of developed nations. They added that it is astonishing to see that even in that era, protective granaries were built to store grain, and these remains are clearly visible at Mohenjo Daro. Meanwhile, curator Ehsan Abbasi welcomed the Spanish delegation. Strict security arrangements were made for the delegation.
