SARGODHA, Dec 04 (APP):Solar plates installation process has been started in Sargodha district for domestic consumers under the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz public-welfare initiative.
According to a spokesman of district administration, solar units were being installed in phases for citizens whose names were included in the government’s draw.
He said the project aimed to reduce household electricity expenses, lessen the impact of load-shedding, and promote environmentally friendly energy solutions.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, former MNA Mohsin Shah Nawaz Ranjha thanked party leaders Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz for prioritizing public-oriented development.
He said the project reflects the continuity of the party’s policies focused on ease, welfare, and direct relief to citizens. Pakistan Muslim Leauge-Nawaz Mohsin Shah Ranjha added that the installation of solar systems would not only reduce electricity bills but also help households achieve energy self-sufficiency, offering long-term financial relief for families across the district.
Residents expressed satisfaction over the rollout, terming the initiative a practical relief for households facing high electricity tariffs. Many said that access to solar energy has become a significant hope during a period of rising power costs.
