SNGPL cuts off another 34 meters on gas theft

LAHORE, Aug 19 (APP): Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) cut off another 34 connections, during its ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, imposing Rs 0.6 million fines.
According to a spokesman for the SNGPL, in Lahore and Gujranwala, the regional teams severed 9 connections of gas pilferers while 18 connections were disconnected in Bahawalpur and Multan.
In Sheikhupran and Faisalabad, 2 connections were removed and 5 in Mardan on account of direct use of gas and illegal use of gas with imposing heavy fines.
