KARACHI, Dec 07 (APP): Governor of Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori, while addressing a ceremony held at the Governor House on the occasion of Sindh Culture Day, said that Sindh is a land that embraces every nation, civilization, and culture.
He stated that this is the soil where Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Sachal Sarmast, and Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai taught the lessons of peace, love, and tolerance.
The Governor Sindh said that the arrival of Muhammad bin Qasim made Sindh the gateway of Islam and spread the light of Islam in the region. He described Mohenjo-daro as a living example of Sindh’s ancient and glorious civilization.
While congratulating the nation, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori said with great passion: “Sindh Jaye, Sindh Wara Jeean!” He termed the day as a grand celebration of Sindh’s love, culture, and heritage.
Talking about the national situation, he said that faith is linked with conviction and that gratitude to Allah Almighty must be expressed in every condition. Referring to the events of May 10, he said that Pakistan defeated a country five times stronger and that the nation stands as a victorious nation.
He appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for economic stability and said that Pakistan has now taken off towards progress. He also paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan Army soldiers in the fight against terrorism.
Speaking about the public welfare initiatives of the Governor House, he said that 50,000 children are being provided free IT education without discrimination, more than one million ration boxes have been distributed among deserving people, and a “Bell of Hope” has been installed for resolution of public issues across Pakistan.
He announced that under the Governor Initiative, the journey of public service will continue and that Sindh Culture Day has been organized at the Governor House for the third consecutive year.
