KARACHI, Jul 10 (APP): Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has termed PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s interview with Karan Thapar as a significant diplomatic achievement for Pakistan.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, Sindh Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Memon said that Bilawal Bhutto is not only a symbol of young leadership but also emerging as a respected global voice for Pakistan. The confidence, foresight, and sagacity with which he has presented Pakistan’s stance on a very sensitive issue like terrorism at the international forum, are commendable, Sharjeel added.
Memon said that to engage in such a manner with so much authority in front of a gritty and seasoned journalist like Karan Thapar, and put him on the back foot, is a candid admission of Bilawal Bhutto’s political maturity and diplomatic acumen. Throughout the interview, Karan Thapar appeared repeatedly confused and unsettled, while Bilawal remained articulate, composed, and clear-headed.
Sharjeel said that Karan Thapar is the same journalist who during an interview of Narendra Modi removed his microphone, and today, Chairman Bilawal not only stood his ground in front of him but also successfully turned the tide of the conversation in his favor. This interview was not merely an exchange of words but a powerful diplomatic representation of Pakistan, something that is urgently needed in today’s global context.
He said that Chairman Bilawal’s interview was a reflection of political maturity, ideological depth and thorough preparation. It was not a media drama show, but a holistic exposition of Pakistan’s history, stance and vision, he added.
