PESHAWAR, Dec 08 (APP):A domestic servant stole gold jewelry worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from his employer’s house in Hayatabad locality here and fled.
According to police, the incident took place in Hayatabad Phase 6 at the house of the complainant, Irfan Khan. He stated that the accused, Muhammad Salahuddin had been working at his house since 2022.
On the day of the incident, the family had gone out for a walk while only the accused and his nephew were at home.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, the accused allegedly fled with two gold bangles weighing four tolas and three gold rings weighing one and a half tolas.
Initially, the complainant did not register an FIR and later approached the court. The Sessions Court accepted the petition and ordered the police to register a case under judicial directions. After nearly six months, Tatara Police Station registered the case against the accused, who is a resident of Sargodha.
Following the registration of the case, police obtained CCTV footage and launched a search operation. Raids are being conducted at various locations for the arrest of the accused.
The complainant has urged the court and police to ensure the early arrest of the suspect so that the stolen jewelry can be recovered. The incident serves as a warning for families who place blind trust in domestic workers and highlights the need for caution.
