Scope of Counter Narcotics Force to be expanded

LAHORE, Dec 07 (APP):The Punjab government has decided to expand the scope of the Counter Narcotics Force to all districts to make anti-drug measures more effective in the province.
According to official sources, Counter Narcotics Force stations will be established in major districts on the lines of police stations, which will play an important role in drug-related operations, surveillance and information exchange.
Initially, three Counter Narcotics Force stations will be established in Lahore, while stations will also be established in Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Faisalabad and DG Khan on the same lines.
For the convenience of the public, a Counter Narcotics Force helpline and emergency number will also be issued so that citizens can immediately report any suspicious activity, drug trafficking or related complaints to the authorities.
According to the Punjab government, the expansion of the Counter Narcotics Force at the provincial level will prove to be an important milestone in protecting the young generation from the harmful effects of drugs and dismantling drug networks.
