HYDERABAD, Oct 07 (APP):A meeting regarding the issues faced by persons with disabilities was held at the Deputy Commissioner Sanghar office under the chair of Deputy Commissioner Sarah Javed.
Addressing the meeting, the DC said that a joint committee was being formed in the district to resolve the problems of persons with disabilities. The committee would include representatives of organizations working for persons with disabilities as well as concerned officials, who would make efforts to arrange necessary assistive equipment for them.
She directed ADC-I Abdul Majeed Zehrani, all assistant commissioners, additional director social welfare Muslim Farooq and other officers to prepare a comprehensive report in collaboration with representatives of welfare organizations.
The DC further stated that ramps and other necessary facilities for persons with disabilities would be established in all offices to ensure accessibility.
Representatives of various social organizations including Mumtaz Mangi, Abdul Karim Shar, Abbas Yousifzai, Shumaila Arain, Ghulam Ali Shah and heads of relevant departments also attended the meeting.
