DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 22 (APP): Rescue 1122 Lakki Marwat responded promptly to 169 emergency incidents during the last week, providing immediate medical and rescue services to the people of the district.
According to Rescue 1122 spokesman, the operations were carried out under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Bilal Afridi.
Sharing the weekly performance report, he said that Rescue 1122 received a total of 2,699 phone calls during the week, including 1,296 fake and non-emergency calls, while 1,233 were information-related calls.
As a result, the rescue teams responded to 142 medical emergencies, 20 road traffic accidents, five incidents involving fights and gunshot injuries, and one fire incident.
A total of 161 patients were provided first aid on the spot and safely shifted to hospitals.
In addition, it responded to 62 emergency cases through its out-district referral service. Among these, 17 patients were shifted within the district, while in 45 cases patients were transferred from one district to another.
During this period, a total of 68 patients benefited from the Rescue 1122 referral service.
He urged the people to avoid misuse of the emergency helpline 1122 to ensure timely assistance for genuine emergencies.
