LOWER DIR, Jun 10 (APP):The Emergency Service, Rescue 1122 teams in the district responded to 87 emergency incidents during the first three days of Eid-ul-Azha, ensuring timely medical and rescue services to those in need.
According to the spokesperson of Rescue 1122, Lower Dir, Arshad Iqbal, emergency teams provided initial medical aid and hospital transfers to 68 injured individuals involved in various incidents during the festive days.
The emergencies included 26 medical cases and 16 road traffic accidents, in which injured persons were given immediate assistance and transported to healthcare facilities.
Rescue teams also responded to 12 fire incidents, seven recovery operations, and one criminal case, ensuring public safety across the district.
In addition, 25 patients, who were referred by doctors, were safely transferred from one hospital to another for specialized treatment.
The efforts of Rescue 1122 during Eid were aimed at maintaining public safety and ensuring that emergency services remained fully functional throughout the holidays.
