FAISALABAD, Nov 15 (APP): Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) organized an awareness walk to observe the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, highlighting the alarming rise in accidents and urging the public to adopt safer road practices. The walk, led by District Emergency Officer Engineer Ehtesham Wahla, commenced at Central Rescue Station GTS Chowk and concluded at Clock Tower Chowk.
A large group of participants, including officers from City Traffic Police, Rescue Scouts, civil society representatives, and local citizens, joined the rally to show solidarity with road accident victims and promote responsible road behavior. The participants carried placards and banners featuring messages on the importance of helmet use, responsible driving, the dangers of over-speeding, and the life-saving significance of following road safety rules.
Rescue officials, traffic police officers, and members of various organizations walked together to emphasize the collective action required to reduce preventable road accidents. At the end of the walk, Engineer Ehtesham Wahla distributed road safety pamphlets to the public and highlighted that the statistics for the year were a grim reminder of the need for better awareness and action on road safety.
