Recreational activities banned at canals, streams due to monsoon rains

NAWABSHAH, Jul 22 (APP):Commissioner, Benazir Abad,  Nadeem Ahmed Abro, on Tuesday banned recreational activities and swimming in bis canals and streams due to heavy monsoon rains.

The swimming and all other recreational activities had been banned for 90 days in the big canals and streams of the three districts of the division, said a notification.

 The step had been taken to save precious lives during the rainy season, the notification added.

The police authorities had been directed to take strict action against the violation of the ban, it said.
