Rawalpindi Police continue extensive search operations, detain 34 illegal Afghan residents

RAWALPINDI, Nov 25 (APP):Under the directions of City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Hamdani, the Rawalpindi Police on Tuesday continued comprehensive search operations across several areas of the district, a spokesman said.
During the operations, the police checked records of 1,018 houses, 816 shops, 24 hotels, four hostels, and 1,955 individuals in total. They also inspected five scrap yards, two hostels, four bus/truck stands, and tenant records.
The police spokesman said 34 Afghan nationals residing illegally were taken into custody during the operations.
Additionally, four cases were registered against individuals who failed to register tenant information as required.
The search operations were conducted in the jurisdictions of Naseerabad, Saddar Wah, Pirwadhai, Ganjmandi, City, Waris Khan, Bani, New Town, Sadiqabad, Ratta Amral, Chauntra, Mandra, and Saddar Beruni police stations.
CPO Hamdani said the operations aimed to maintain law and order, eliminate criminal elements, and ensure the supremacy of law, adding that all available resources were being deployed to achieve these objectives.
