PESHAWAR, Oct 27 (APP):Traffic law violations in Peshawar have become increasingly common, with wrong-side driving turning into a daily routine on city roads.
This growing disregard for road safety has led to a surge in accidents, reflecting a widespread lack of discipline and respect for the law.
Motorists frequently take U-turns in the middle of roads and create unauthorized shortcuts, particularly on Ring Road, Sadar Bazaar and other major routes. These reckless approach has become a major concern for both residents and traffic authorities.
According to traffic police officials, several awareness campaigns and educational videos have been launched to educate citizens about traffic rules. However, many individuals continue to ignore the law and even in some cases, confront officers when caught.
Officials warn that such behaviour not only violates traffic regulations but also endangers lives. They emphasize that efforts are ongoing to promote awareness and responsible driving habits.
Traffic police have appealed to Peshawar residents to follow traffic rules, avoid driving on the wrong side, and refrain from creating illegal routes. Citizens are urged to act responsibly to ensure safety and order on the roads.
