SIALKOT, Jul 30 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali on Wednesday visited the city and reviewed the performance of rain emergency camps, disposal stations, dewatering sets and sanitation staff after a heavy rain.
The rain was recorded 24 mm in Sialkot Cantt, 18 mm in the city, 48 mm at airport, 25 mm at Sambrial, 63 mm at Daska College Road, 58 mm at MC Daska and 7 mm at Pasrur.
The inflow of water at Marala Head Works in the Chenab river was 153,234 cusecs and
outflow was 1,26,284 cusecs. As per the current outflow, the river is in medium flood.
Similarly, water flow in Naullah Deik, Nala Ail, Naullah Bhed, Naullah Palkhu and other waterways is within safe limits and the position of all the places is reported as normal.
The water level in UCC and MR Link was also found below the prescribed safety limit.
The deputy commissioner said the concerned departments should be alert and rainwater drainage should be expedited.
